Placements24 is seeking a visionary Lead Architect in Stellenbosch, Western Cape, to guide design initiatives across a diverse portfolio of projects. The role demands leadership to manage architectural teams, ensuring design concepts are realized from inception to construction.

The ideal candidate holds a professional architecture degree, SAIA registration, and 12+ years of experience, with 5+ in leadership. A hybrid work arrangement and opportunities to lead prestige projects are offered.

Qualifications

• Professional degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
• Registered with SAIA or equivalent.
• Minimum 12 years of progressive architectural experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design process from conceptualization through construction documentation and administration.
• Mentor junior architectural staff and foster a collaborative design environment.
• Develop designs meeting client requirements, codes, and project objectives.
• Coordinate with engineers, consultants and contractors to ensure design integrity and constructability.
• Perform site visits and design reviews to ensure conformity with approved plans.
• Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and sustainable design practices.
