Job summary

NTT DATA, Inc. in South Africa is seeking an L2 Network Engineer to support, maintain and troubleshoot our enterprise network infrastructure. You'll work with senior engineers to ensure availability, performance and security of network services across LAN/WAN, WLAN and data centers.

This role offers hands-on exposure to routers, switches, firewalls, monitoring tools and security technologies, with opportunities to grow through training and certification.

Qualifications

• Understanding of enterprise networking, cloud concepts, and cybersecurity basics.
• Ability to document incidents, resolutions, and troubleshooting steps clearly.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and standards.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network performance and availability using management tools.
• Assist with installation, configuration, and maintenance of routers, switches, WLANs and firewalls.
• Troubleshoot connectivity issues and escalate to senior engineers when needed.
• Support LAN, WLAN and WAN, and participate in security/compliance activities.
• Contribute to project tasks and network deployment/upgrades.
