Job summary

NTT DATA in Johannesburg is seeking an entry- to mid-level Network Engineer to monitor and support client networks, ensuring availability and performance. You will handle Level 1 incidents, perform troubleshooting, and support change and maintenance activities.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in IT or networking.
• CCNA Enterprise or equivalent certification.
• ITIL Foundation or equivalent.
• CCNP Enterprise is advantageous.
• DevNet Associate or similar networking DevOps cert.
• CWNA or CWNP certifications are beneficial.
• Experience with enterprise networking environments.

Responsibilities

• Monitor client network infrastructure, systems, and services to ensure availability and performance.
• Identify, investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve Level 1 incidents and service requests within SLAs.
• Escalate incidents to appropriate support teams when required.
• Perform root cause analysis for incidents and contribute to prevention initiatives.
• Assist in maintenance activities including software patching and config changes.
• Provide multi-channel (phone, chat, ticket) support to customers and stakeholders.
• Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and standards.
• Participate in shift handovers and ensure service continuity.
