Job summary

The Stellenbosch Hotel is seeking a Kitchen Sculler to keep the kitchen clean, well-maintained, and organised while adhering to Hygiene Standards. The role involves maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies and supporting the kitchen team, ensuring all areas are kept to a high standard of cleanliness at all times.

The position is on-site in Stellenbosch on a permanent contract and hourly paid. You will work shifts, including weekends and public holidays when required, and must have Matric/NQF 4

Qualifications

• Matric/NQF 4.
• At least 1 year of experience in a kitchen or scullery (advantageous).
• Ability to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays when required.
• Clean criminal record.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans and other kitchen equipment thoroughly and efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen including floors, work areas and storage spaces
• Ensure an adequate supply of clean dishes, glassware, and utensils for service.
• Properly dispose of kitchen waste and maintain waste management systems.
• Store cleaning chemicals and kitchen equipment safely according to regulations.
• Support kitchen staff by organizing and tidying up storage areas
• Ensure compliance with hygiene, health and safety regulations.
