Job summary

Mount Nelson, A Belmond Hotel is seeking a Laundry Junior Team Leader to oversee shift operations, ensure cleanliness and guest comfort, and drive efficiency in a luxury hotel environment.

You will collaborate with management to maintain top service standards, manage linen inventories, and support preventive maintenance for laundry equipment while monitoring staff productivity and performance.

Qualifications

• Experience providing exceptional guest service in a fast-paced environment.
• Friendly and attentive demeanor; ability to answer questions.
• Strong communications skills to interact with guests as well as staff.
• Knowledge of stain treatments and industrial cleaning equipment and products.

Primary Responsibilities Include

• Keep Management well informed about all aspects of Laundry operations during a shift
• Maintain the highest standards in cleanliness, hygiene, and comfort towards total guest satisfaction by providing service, which is the best in class, and maximises organisational profitability through effective utilisation of all resources
• Efficiently use and manage the inventory of supplies, linen and equipment
• Assist in monitoring and controlling consumption of chemicals used in the Laundry
• Plan and implement preventive maintenance and cleaning schedules for Laundry machinery & equipment
• Assist Laundry Management in monitoring staff productivity

Requirements

• Experience providing exceptional guest service and working in a fast-paced environment
• Friendly and attentive demeanor; ability to answer questions
• Strong communications skills to interact with guests as well as staff
• Previous experience in a similar role with good knowledge of staff and time management, stain treatments, industrial cleaning equipment and products
