Browns The Diamond Store in Johannesburg is seeking a Junior Procurement Specialist to join our Operations team. You’ll support procurement and logistics across SA, the UK, and Australia, ensuring stores and warehouses have what they need when they need it.

The role emphasizes accuracy, proactive communication, and collaboration with suppliers and internal teams, using Zoho Desk and Zoho Projects to manage requests and projects.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in procurement, logistics, or supply chain.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
• Excellent communication and MS Office skills (Excel/Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Managing procurement requests from start to finish—raising orders, approvals, and on-time deliveries.
• Maintaining Zoho Desk tickets and resolving requests within agreed timelines.
• Coordinating freight and logistics for local and international shipments.
• Supporting warehouse operations at SA and UK facilities.
• Managing suppliers—quotations and smart sourcing decisions.
• Running projects on Zoho Projects—tracking timelines and costs.
• Setting up and managing SLAs with service providers.

We're looking for a driven, detail-orientedJunior Procurement Specialistto join our Operations team at our Johannesburg Office. What You'll Be Doing

You’ll be the engine behind our procurement and logistics operations — making sure our stores and warehouses across three countries have exactly what they need, when they need it.

• Managing procurement requestsfrom start to finish — raising orders, coordinating approvals, and making sure everything lands on time and on budget
• Keeping our ticket system clean and current— you’ll work in Zoho Desk to resolve operational and procurement requests within agreed timelines
• Coordinating freight and logisticsfor local and international shipments across South Africa, the UK, and Australia — from waybills to customs docs
• Supporting warehouse operationsat our SA and UK facilities — stock integrity, reconciliations, and keeping things running to our high standards
• Managing suppliers— building relationships, getting quotes, and making smart sourcing decisions
• Running projects on Zoho Projects— tracking timelines, controlling costs, and delivering on commitments
• Setting up and managing SLAswith our service providers — from scoping to sign-off

Requirements

You’ll need:

• Matric (Grade 12) as a minimum
• 1–2 years of experience in procurement, logistics, or supply chain
• Strong attention to detail — you spot errors before they become problems
• Good communication skills and a professional, proactive attitude
• Solid MS Office skills (especially Excel and Outlook)

Bonus points for:

• A diploma or degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business Administration
• Experience with Zoho Desk or Zoho Projects (or any ticketing/project management tool)
• Exposure to international freight or multi-site retail environments
