Browns The Diamond Store in Johannesburg is seeking a driven Junior Procurement Specialist to join the Operations team. You will manage procurement requests from start to finish, coordinate approvals, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery across SA, the UK, and Australia.

You will also support warehouse operations, manage tickets in Zoho Desk, run Zoho Projects, and build supplier relationships for smart sourcing decisions in a premium retail environment.

Qualifications

• Matric (Grade 12) as a minimum.
• 1–2 years of experience in procurement, logistics, or supply chain.
• Strong attention to detail and professional attitude.
• Good communication skills and MS Office proficiency.
• Bonus: diploma/degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or Business Admin.

Responsabilités

We're looking for a driven, detail-oriented Junior Procurement Specialist to join our Operations team at our Johannesburg Office. What You'll Be Doing
You'll be the engine behind our procurement and logistics operations — making sure our stores and warehouses across three countries have exactly what they need, when they need it.
Day to day, that looks like:

• Managing procurement requestsfrom start to finish — raising orders, coordinating approvals, and making sure everything lands on time and on budget
• Keeping our ticket system clean and current— you'll work in Zoho Desk to resolve operational and procurement requests within agreed timelines
• Coordinating freight and logisticsfor local and international shipments across South Africa, the UK, and Australia — from waybills to customs docs
• Supporting warehouse operationsat our SA and UK facilities — stock integrity, reconciliations, and keeping things running to our high standards
• Managing suppliers— building relationships, getting quotes, and making smart sourcing decisions
• Running projects on Zoho Projects— tracking timelines, controlling costs, and delivering on commitments
• Setting up and managing SLAswith our service providers — from scoping to sign-off

Requirements

You'll need:

• Matric (Grade 12) as a minimum
• 1–2 years of experience in procurement, logistics, or supply chain
• Strong attention to detail — you spot errors before they become problems
• Good communication skills and a professional, proactive attitude
• Solid MS Office skills (especially Excel and Outlook)

Bonus points for:

• A diploma or degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business Administration
• Experience with Zoho Desk or Zoho Projects (or any ticketing/project management tool)
• Exposure to international freight or multi-site retail environments
