Placements24 is seeking a Purchasing Clerk for our Vereeniging site to support procurement operations. The role focuses on processing orders, managing supplier communications, and maintaining accurate purchasing records in a manufacturing setting.

The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years in a purchasing or admin role, strong Excel skills, and a proactive, detail-oriented attitude. On-the-job training and a collaborative team environment are offered.

Formación

• Matric/Grade 12 required; tertiary purchasing/supply chain qualification advantageous.
• 1–2 years in purchasing or admin role, manufacturing/industrial environment preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office; Excel and Outlook.
• ERP experience a plus; strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills; able to multitask in a fast-paced setting.

Responsabilidades

• Process purchase requisitions and create purchase orders in the system.
• Communicate with suppliers to obtain quotes, place orders, and confirm delivery details.
• Maintain up-to-date purchasing records and supplier information.
• Track orders and follow up on deliveries to ensure on-time arrival.
• Verify invoices against orders and delivery receipts; assist with inventory checks.
• Provide admin support to the purchasing manager and team.
• Ensure adherence to company purchasing policies in Vereeniging.
