Job summary

Managed People Solutions is seeking a Junior Merchandiser Intern to join our team in Somerset, Western Cape. The role focuses on creating eye-catching product displays in a fast-paced liquor and retail environment and provides hands-on experience with leading brands in-store.

The ideal candidate is under 28, recently unemployed, and pursuing NCV Level 4 or N6 qualifications in Marketing or related fields, ready to develop merchandising skills and contribute to in-store executions.

Qualifications

• Under the age of 28.
• Currently unemployed and have not participated in a similar internship before.
• NCV Level 4 in one of the listed fields (Administration, Finance, Transport & Logistics, Management, Marketing, IT).
• N6 Certificate in Marketing Management or Business Management.

Responsibilities

• Determine stock that needs to be merchandised.
• Ensure the correct stock is available in-store.
• Check product quality, rotation, and pricing.
• Set up products according to merchandising standards.
• Report customer issues and requests.
• Maintain accurate merchandising records.
• Monitor and report out-of-stock items to management.
• Keep up to date with product knowledge and promotions.
• Execute store calls according to the call cycle.
• Advise the Regional Sales Manager on out-of-stock products.

Location: Somerset West, Western Cape

Contract Duration: TVET N6: 18 months / NCV Level 4: 12 months

Working Hours: 9 hours per day (including lunch)

Duties and Responsibilities

• Determine stock that needs to be merchandised.
