Job summary

Managed People Solutions in Dutywa, Eastern Cape, is seeking a Junior Merchandiser Intern to kick-start your career in the liquor and retail industry.

This hands-on internship offers exposure to eye-catching in-store displays, stock management, pricing checks, and collaboration with the Regional Sales Manager to ensure products are merchandised according to company standards.

The program runs for TVET N6 18 months or NCV Level 4 12 months, with 9-hour days including lunch.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements: Under 28, currently unemployed and have not participated in a similar internship before.
• NCV Level 4 in Administration, Finance, Transport & Logistics, Management, Marketing or IT.
• N6 Certificate in Marketing Management or Business Management.

Responsibilities

• Determine stock that needs to be merchandised.
• Ensure the correct stock is available in-store.
• Check product quality, rotation, and pricing.
• Set up products according to merchandising standards.
• Report customer issues and requests.
• Maintain accurate merchandising records.
• Monitor and report out-of-stock items to management.
• Keep up to date with product knowledge and promotions.
• Execute store calls according to the call cycle.
• Advise the Regional Sales Manager on out-of-stock products.
