Job summary

Pedros Chicken is opening a brand-new store in Paarl, Cape Town. We are building a dynamic launch team and inviting passionate, energetic individuals who want to grow with our brand and contribute to a strong store culture from day one.

You will oversee daily operations, maintain quality and safety standards, manage stock, drive profitability, lead and train staff, and deliver outstanding customer service in a fast-paced restaurant/take-away.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in restaurant or fast-food service.
• GAAP knowledge advantageous.
• Strong management and organizational skills.
• Excellent customer service and verbal communication.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee overall operation of the restaurant/take-away.
• Maintain PEDROS SOPs and quality standards.
• Oversee stock control, purchasing and orders.
• Address customer complaints and maintain service levels.
• Maximise profitability and meet sales targets; motivate staff.
• Manage staff including discipline and rosters.
• Work in a team and drive the store forward.
• Ensure health and safety regulations compliance.
• Open and close store procedures daily.
• Lead marketing activities and promotions.
• Handle customer service relations and timely complaint resolution.
• Provide staff training and regular meetings.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Overseeing overall operation of the restaurant/ take-away
2. Ensuring quality standards of food and PEDROS Standard Operating Procedures are maintained
3. Overseeing and managing stock control, purchasing and orders
4. Dealing with customer complaints and maintaining customer service levels of the restaurant/ take-away
5. Maximising profitability and meeting sales and GP% targets, including motivating staff to do so
6. Managing staff including discipline and work rosters.
7. Work within a team and drive the restaurant/take-away forward
8. Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
9. Ensure daily opening and closing procedures are conducted at the store
10. Marketing activities – to ensure that promotion and incentive programmes are introduced at the store
11. Customer service relations management – handling of customer service complaints and ensuring complaints are handled within the required time frame
12. People management – ensure training programmes are in place for staff development and to maintain and carry out regular structured staff meetings at the store
13. Recruitment and selection – leading, training and monitoring the performance of the team in the store to increase productivity and profitability
14. Performance evaluation of staff

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Restaurant and Fast-Food Service experience. Minimum 3 years related experience required
2. GAAP experience and knowledge - Advantageous
