Qualifications

• Completed qualification in Computer Engineering
• Completed qualification in Business Information Technology
• Diploma in Systems Support or Technical Support at NQF Level 5 or higher
• Accredited IT support or systems administration certificate such as CompTIA A+ or N+ advantageous

Responsibilities

• Assist in responding to first-line support requests across staff devices and software platforms
• Troubleshoot basic user issues including password resets, authentication problems, laptop and peripheral setup, email/calendar access, and network connectivity
• Prepare, configure, and maintain laptops and related hardware
• Support onboarding and offboarding including account setup, equipment issuing, and returns
• Maintain and update the company IT asset register
• Escalate complex issues to the IT Support Engineer
• Document solutions and contribute to internal knowledge bases
• Participate in guided learning to grow technical capability and independence

Education

Completed qualification in Computer Engineering

Completed qualification in Business Information Technology

NQF Level 5 or higher diploma in Systems Support or Technical Support
