Job summary

Metacom, based in Cape Town, seeks a Junior Implementation Engineer to join the Customer Project Delivery Team. You will work with project managers and field technicians to install solutions at customer sites.

Responsibilities include remote configurations, on-site support, building a knowledge base, handover with Pre-Sales, progress reports, and escalation of configuration issues to FAEs. IT Diploma or CCNA is required, with N+/A+ beneficial. A valid driver’s license is needed.

Qualifications

• Networking fundamentals including LANs/WANs.
• IT Diploma or CCNA certification required.
• Minimum 2 years relevant experience.
• Flexible under pressure; team player; proactive and self-motivated.

Responsibilities

• Complete remote configurations for customer site installations.
• Assist field technicians to implement solutions on site.
• Build up a knowledge base of customer solutions.
• Coordinate handover with Pre-Sales for new solutions.
• Provide progress reports to project managers during rollouts.
• Escalate potential configuration errors to Field Application Engineers.
