Job summary

Helderberg Personnel Cc in Somerset West, Western Cape, seeks a Junior Field Service Technician to quote, repair and maintain equipment both in-house and on-site at client sites.

You will travel across Cape Town and regional hubs, perform diagnostics, generate service reports, and ensure stock and workshop accuracy while delivering excellent customer service.

The role requires Matric and a basic electrical/electronic background, with a valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Matric certificate; formal electrical/electronic qualification is an advantage.
• Minimum 6 months hands-on electrical/electronic experience with strong customer service.
• Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle; willing to travel regionally.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong verbal communication and professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and test equipment at client locations and in workshop.
• Generate service/maintenance reports with photos and quotes for Branch Lead.
• Deliver on-site service as a brand ambassador and assist with loading/offloading.
• Manage machines in/out, attach tags, and maintain stock accuracy.
• Attend scheduled service calls and standby after hours/weekends.
