Job summary

Dante Personnel Recruitment (Pty) Ltd is seeking a Junior IT Field Service Technician for client sites in Witbank. The role involves delivering technical services, basic problem-solving, and performing maintenance and installations.

You will travel to various client sites, conduct inspections, and promote service offerings. A Grade 12 and an A+/N+ certificate or equivalent, plus a valid driver’s license, are required, with at least 1 year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Delivering technical services at customer sites.
• Basic customer problem-solving and operation/maintenance on client site.
• Service contract site visits, repair work, and preventive maintenance on site.
• Local installation and start-up support of pre-assembled products.
• Identifying sales leads and promoting services offering.
• Prepare site reports, travel expense reports, and stock reports.

Our client based in Witbank is looking for a Junior IT Field Service Technician to join their team.

Salary: R10 000 CTC

Minimum requirements:

• Grade 12
• Driver’s license
• A+ Certificate or equivalent or N+ Certificate or equivalent
• 1+ year work experience

Key responsibilities:

• Delivering technical services at customer sites
• Basic customer problem-solving, providing operation and maintenance on client site
• Service contract site visits - repair work; technical inspections and recommendations at site; preventive maintenance work at site
• Local installation and start-up support of pre-assembled products
• Providing specific technical discipline work at site
• Identifying sales leads and promoting services offering.
• Deliver site reports, Job cards, travel expenses reports, Stock Reports, after all jobs performed Ensure proper fulfilment of all SHEQ rules and regulations of Company and the customer
• Perform safety inspection at workplace prior to start the job
• Correct usage of PPE
• Reporting any unsafe condition on site
• Flexibility to travel up to 75% of time is a must
• Working Standby and Nightshift Hours
