Placements24 seeks a motivated Junior Commercial Associate for a Paarl-based law firm in the Western Cape. Newly admitted attorneys with up to 3 years PQE are encouraged to apply to support senior partners on contracts, corporate advisory, and commercial disputes.

Formación

• Admitted attorney with right of appearance in the SA High Court.
• LLB degree or equivalent and 0–3 years post-qualification experience.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical abilities in commercial law.

Responsabilidades

• Assist senior lawyers in drafting, reviewing, and finalizing commercial agreements.
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on commercial law issues.
• Support partners in managing commercial litigation and dispute resolution cases.
• Participate in client meetings and consultations under supervision.
• Manage case files and ensure documentation is accurate and accessible.
• Assist with corporate compliance and governance matters for clients.
• Prepare court documents and other legal filings.
• Liaise with clients, opposing counsel, and relevant authorities.
• Contribute to business development by identifying client needs.
• Stay updated on developments in commercial law.

Requirements

• Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa with Right of Appearance.
• LLB degree or equivalent.

• Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
