Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Civil Engineer with expertise in site development and stormwater management to design and oversee land development projects in the Western Cape. The role involves grading, earthworks, utility design and stormwater planning to meet regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate has strong CAD skills, 5+ years of relevant experience, and a commitment to sustainable development. A hybrid work model with remote flexibility is offered in Paarl.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Professional registration with ECSA advantage.
• Minimum of 5 years in civil site development and stormwater.

Responsibilities

• Design site layouts, grading and earthworks for developments.
• Develop detailed stormwater plans including detention/retention systems.
• Design utilities: water, sewer, and conduits.
• Conduct site investigations and feasibility studies.
• Prepare drawings, calculations, and specs using CAD.
• Coordinate with clients, architects and consultants.
• Provide construction phase support and site inspections.
• Ensure compliance with planning regulations and codes.
• Manage timelines and contribute to cost estimates.
