Placements24 is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer in Bloemfontein to lead road and stormwater projects. The role blends on-site engagement with flexible remote work, requiring strong leadership and technical delivery.

Qualified candidates will have a Civil Engineering degree, ECSA Pr Eng registration, and at least 8 years of road and stormwater design experience, with proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D or CivilDesigner. Hybrid work is offered to balance site visits and office tasks.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
ECSA Pr Eng registration.
8+ years experience in road and stormwater design.
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D or CivilDesigner.
Experience in project management and contract administration.
Willingness to work in a hybrid model.

Responsibilities

Lead the design of road infrastructure including alignment and pavement design.
Undertake stormwater design with hydraulic calculations.
Prepare design reports, specs and drawings for road and stormwater projects.
Ensure compliance with South African legislation and municipal standards.
Manage project timelines and budgets within the design team.
Mentor junior engineers and technicians and liaise with clients and authorities.
Conduct site visits for design verification and construction support.
