Placements24 is seeking a versatile Civil Engineer focused on Site Development and Infrastructure for a hybrid role based in Port Elizabeth. You will plan, design, and execute site infrastructure including grading, drainage, water and sewer systems, and road access while coordinating with consultants and authorities.

Ideal candidates have a Civil Engineering degree, 4–6 years’ experience, and strong CAD (AutoCAD Civil 3D) skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 4–6 years of experience in site development or related fields.
• Proficiency in CAD software AutoCAD Civil 3D for site design and grading.
• Knowledge of municipal infrastructure standards and permitting processes.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work both on-site and remotely within a hybrid model.

Responsabilités

• Design and manage site development projects, including grading and stormwater management.
• Develop plans for utility infrastructure (water, sewer, electrical distribution).
• Coordinate with architects, surveyors, and consultants through design and approval.
• Prepare drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for site development.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and environmental standards.
• Oversee on-site construction, ensuring quality, safety, and conformance.
• Conduct site investigations and feasibility studies for developments.
• Liaise with municipal authorities and utility providers.
• Manage timelines and budgets for site components.
• Prepare progress reports and use remote tools for reporting.
