Job summary

Babylonstoren invites applications for an IT Intern to join our IT team in Franschhoek. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or someone pursuing an IT qualification who wants practical experience in a hospitality setting.

You will assist users with IT queries, support Microsoft 365, help configure devices, and gain exposure to Windows Server and Active Directory within a hotel/restaurant tech environment.

Qualifications

• A relevant IT qualification, or currently working towards a diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Assist employees with everyday IT queries and troubleshoot basic hardware, software and connectivity issues.
• Help install, configure and maintain desktops, laptops, printers and other IT equipment.
• Assist with Microsoft 365 support, including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive.
• Support user account setup and access administration under the guidance of the IT team.
• Assist with network and Wi‑Fi troubleshooting, escalating complex issues when necessary.
• Help support hotel and restaurant systems, including POS terminals, printers and related devices.
• Gain practical exposure to Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy.
