Job summary

Clicks Group is seeking an IT Support Technician II to work within the LEAP Team at the Woodmead office in Johannesburg. The role focuses on sustaining IT systems, servers, desktops and peripherals, including installation, diagnosis, repair and upgrades for optimal performance.

You will troubleshoot issues, provide end-user support, and help maintain the knowledgebase, SLAs and asset registers while ensuring data security and asset integrity.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years' experience as an IT support technician.
• National Senior Certificate and IT qualification or valid IT certification.
• Basic networking, Windows and Linux knowledge.
• Ability to install, diagnose, repair and upgrade software and hardware.
• Strong problem-solving and customer-service skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical guidance and assistance to other team members and users when required.
• Receives and processes user complaints and resolves computer problems and errors.
• Updates computer software and operating systems.
• Remotely or physically assists in IT related concerns.
• Document fixes; solutions; and ensuring knowledgebase is updated.
• Ensuring adherence to service level agreements to maintain effective customer service.
• Maintaining security of assets and confidential information.
• Assist in maintaining hardware and software asset register.
