The role involves server and network administration, AD, and ICT asset management across multiple sites. Travel to Durbanville, Killarney Gardens and Paarl is required; a Diploma in IT and relevant certifications are expected.

POSITION: IT Support Technician

LOCATION: Killarney Gardens, Western Cape

This group of companies is a well-stablished and reputable cold storage operator that provides management solutions for cold storage of fruit and other perishable industries.

We are currently in search of an experienced IT Support Technician to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily checks on servers.
• General AD configuration and management.
• Perform general server maintenance.
• ICT asset management.
• Act as technical contact with ICT suppliers.
• Monitor systems and network (NETXMS) & troubleshooting.
• WAN & LAN network configuration.
• Cameras, Printers, Scanners exp

Qualification & Requirements

• Diploma in Information Technology or related field.
• 5+ years’ experience working with the various server and network technologies.
• Relevant certification i.e. A+ Certified, N+ certified or equivalent.
• Experience with Microsoft Windows and associated Microsoft server products (MCSA or equivalent).
• Experience with Active Directory, Windows server 2016, SQL server 2014, Remote desktop services (MCSE or equivalent).
• Experience with Office 365 (Microsoft 365 Certified: Fundamentals or equivalent, Power BI).
• Experience with VMware.
• Remote desktop services.
• Working knowledge of ESET, Fortigate, Paltrack, Mimecast and Qlikview, Palltrack will be beneficial.
• Perform standby duties.
• Travel to the various sites in Durbanville, Killarney Gardens and Paarl.
• Valid driver’s license & own transport.
