Job summary

crew-life-at-sea is seeking an IT Support Specialist to join our team in Cape Town. You will provide technical support to clients and staff via phone, email, and remote tools, resolving hardware, software, and network issues while ensuring reliable system performance.

You will install and configure hardware/software, document support activity, and collaborate with IT colleagues on process improvements. A relevant degree and 2+ years in IT support are required, along with a valid SA passport.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking systems.
Experience with Windows and Mac operating systems.
Familiarity with remote access tools and ticketing systems.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Strong customer service skills and a dedication to providing exceptional support.
Valid South African Passport.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support to clients and internal staff via phone, email, and remote access tools.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues, including network connectivity, printers, and other peripherals.
Install and configure new hardware and software as needed.
Monitor and maintain company systems and networks to ensure optimal performance.
Collaborate with other IT team members to identify and implement process improvements.
Maintain accurate records of all support requests and resolutions.
Keep up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends to provide innovative solutions to clients.
