Job summary

Abbott, a global healthcare leader, seeks a motivated IT Support Intern in Roodeport, SA to gain hands-on exposure to IT operations within BTS. You will assist with hardware/software support, 365 administration, asset management, and onboarding processes in a fast‑paced environment.

Ideal candidates are recent graduates with a Diploma or Degree in IT/IS/CS/ICT, plus relevant certifications; no prior work experience required.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 (Matric) minimum.
• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, ICT, or related field.
• Certifications such as CompTIA A+, N+, or S+ advantageous; no prior work experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide first‑line IT support for hardware, software, and Microsoft 365 issues.
• Log, monitor, and update support tickets using IT service management tools.
• Assist with configuring and deploying laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
• Support onboarding and offboarding, including equipment allocation and account setup.
• Maintain IT asset inventories and update documentation.
