Ideal candidates are recent graduates with a Diploma or Degree in IT/IS/CS/ICT, plus relevant certifications; no prior work experience required.

The Opportunity IT Support Intern Roodeport South Africa 12-Month Internship

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic recent graduate to join our BTS team as an IT Support Intern. This role offers hands‑on exposure to IT support, service delivery, Microsoft 365 administration, asset management, and IT operations within a leading global healthcare organization.

What You'll Work On

Provide first‑line support for hardware, software, and Microsoft 365‑related issues. Log, monitor, and update support tickets using IT service management tools. Assist with configuring and deploying laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and peripherals. Support employee onboarding and offboarding, including equipment allocation and account setup. Assist with user account administration, password resets, and access requests. Maintain IT asset inventories and equipment records. Update IT documentation, knowledge articles, and standard operating procedures. Follow up on incidents and service requests to ensure timely resolution. Assist with testing new hardware, software, and technology solutions. Support IT projects and continuous improvement initiatives. Deliver professional, customer‑focused support to end users.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements Grade 12 (Matric). Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, ICT, or a related field. Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, N+, or S+ will be advantageous. No previous work experience required. Candidates with internship, learnership, practical training, or technical support exposure are encouraged to apply.
