Placements24 is seeking an IT Helpdesk Support Officer for its client in Bloemfontein. The role is on-site and focuses on delivering first-level technical support, hardware/software troubleshooting, and user assistance to maintain reliable IT services.

You will manage user accounts in Active Directory, assist with server and network maintenance, and work to resolve tickets efficiently while adhering to SLAs. A proactive, customer-focused approach is essential.

Formación

• 2+ years in IT helpdesk or technical support.
• Solid understanding of Windows OS and MS Office.
• Experience with Active Directory user management.
• Familiar with TCP/IP, DNS, VPN and basic networking.
• Proficient with IT helpdesk ticketing systems.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure.
• IT qualification (N+ or A+) is advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Provide first-level end-user support for hardware, software, and network issues.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
• Manage user accounts and access in Active Directory and other systems.
• Assist in maintenance of servers and network infrastructure.
• Respond to and resolve helpdesk tickets with SLAs.
• Maintain IT asset inventory and software licenses.
• Develop and update IT documentation and troubleshooting guides.
• Assist deployment of new hardware and software solutions.
• Conduct basic training for new employees on IT systems and policies.
• Monitor system performance and security.
• Collaborate with senior IT staff on complex issues.
