Job summary

Cape Nature seeks a proactive Graduate Intern - IT Helpdesk Technician to join the IT team in Cape Town. You will support end-users, log and resolve incidents, and assist with device setup and user account provisioning across sites.

The role emphasizes hands-on troubleshooting, timely updates, and clear communication with both technical and non-technical users while contributing to service delivery improvements.

Qualifications

• NQF 5 in Information Systems, IT Management, or related field.
• 1–2 years IT Desktop support experience or proficiency with Windows and Microsoft 365.
• Familiarity with endpoint management tools (Intune).
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience supporting remote/hybrid teams.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that 90% of open calls are resolved within the specified SLA.
• Keep sites up-to-date with current infrastructure.
• Coordinate device setup, user account creation, and orientation support with IT teams.
• Adhere to governance, apply security patches and perform regular system updates; conduct regular audits of employee devices.
