Job summary

Placements24 is recruiting a diligent Helpdesk Analyst to join our IT support team in Randburg. The role provides first-line technical assistance to employees, troubleshoots hardware and software issues, and maintains IT infrastructure to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a helpdesk or IT support role.
• Solid understanding of Windows operating systems and common office applications.
• Proficiency in basic network troubleshooting and hardware diagnostics.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple support tickets effectively.
• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant IT certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and resolve IT support requests and incidents logged via the ticketing system.
• Provide technical assistance for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, peripherals, and related hardware.
• Assist users with login issues, password resets, and application access.
• Document technical solutions and create user guides for common IT problems.
• Collaborate with senior IT staff on system upgrades and maintenance tasks.
