Job summary

EdUpStairs is looking for an IT Support professional to maintain desktop, laptop, printers and automation across the province. The role covers end-user support, network infrastructure, and release management, with travel for on-site assistance.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years’ experience, a three-year IT qualification (NQF level 6) or equivalent, and strong troubleshooting, communication, and reporting skills. Driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Three-year IT qualification at NQF level 6 or equivalent.
• 2–4 years’ experience in IT Support.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Knowledge of ICT and infrastructure technologies.
• Experience with Active Directory, Windows and Linux.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and report writing abilities.
• Team player with travel readiness.

Responsibilities

• Support desktop, laptop, printers and automation function.
• Support the provincial network infrastructure.
• Release management: software, configuration and network changes.
• Provide support for mobile devices connectivity.
• Support peripheral devices.
• End user support and account management.
• Participate in projects.
• Support audio and visual hardware.
• Test, diagnose, repair and maintain computing equipment.
• Ensure calls logged are resolved within the required time.
• Travel to provide user support.
