Job summary

DRA Global is seeking an experienced IT Business Systems Analyst to support and enhance ERP systems across the business. You will gather user needs, work with developers to define and test solutions, and liaise with implementation partners to ensure successful changes.

Responsibilities include managing ERP change requests, customisations, reporting, upgrades and new implementations, plus training and user support. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have tertiary qualification in computer science, information systems or related discipline.
• Proven experience with ERP systems and workflow functionalities.
• Ability to translate user requirements into clear technical specs for developers.
• Experience creating or maintaining reports using Power BI and Sage Crystal Reports.

This pivotal role sits at the intersection of business requirements and technical delivery. You will collaborate with users to gather and understand their needs, work alongside developers to define and test solutions, and liaise with implementation partners to ensure successful system changes. Your responsibilities will encompass managing change requests, ERP customisations, reporting, system upgrades and new implementations.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse business processes, engaging with users and stakeholders to gather and clarify requirements.
• Translate business requirements into clear, detailed functional specifications for developers and implementation partners.
• Manage ERP change requests and enhancements from initial assessment through to testing and implementation.
• Collaborate with developers on customisations, programming requirements, scripts and integrations.
• Develop and maintain reports and dashboards using Power BI and Sage Crystal Reports.
• Coordinate system and user acceptance testing, investigate issues, and verify that delivered solutions meet agreed requirements.
• Support ERP upgrades and new implementations, working closely with project teams, vendors and users.
• Maintain comprehensive system documentation, training materials and knowledge articles.
• Provide user training and second-level support, including resolving escalated system issues.
• Identify opportunities to enhance workflows, system performance and overall user experience.

Person Specification

• A tertiary qualification in computer science, information systems or a closely related discipline.
• Proven experience working with ERP systems and workflow functionalities, including managing change requests and system enhancements.
• The ability to navigate confidently between business and technical conversations: understanding user requirements, defining necessary changes, and collaborating with developers to deliver solutions.
• Programming knowledge sufficient to contribute meaningfully to discussions regarding customisations, scripting and integrations.
• Experience in creating or maintaining reports using Power BI and Sage Crystal Reports.
• A methodical approach to requirements gathering, documentation, testing and problem-solving.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with users, developers and implementation partners.

Experience with Sage X3, SQL Server or systems administration is desirable but not essential.
