Job summary

Headhunters is seeking a capable Business Analyst to join our team in Johannesburg. You will gather and document business and system requirements, engaging with stakeholders across functions to understand needs and translate them into actionable specifications.

You will analyze current processes and systems, develop maps and documentation, and identify opportunities for automation and efficiency gains. You will also support ERP and other systems, perform data analysis, and contribute to testing

Qualifications

• Business Analysis / Information Systems / Business Management or a related qualification.
• Experience in business and systems analysis and data reporting.
• ERP or business systems exposure with understanding of SQL/databases.
• Strong stakeholder engagement across different business functions.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyse and document business and system requirements.
• Engage with stakeholders across different business functions to understand business needs.
• Analyse existing business processes, systems and workflows to identify gaps and inefficiencies.
• Develop process maps, workflows and business process documentation.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation and increased operational efficiency.
• Translate business requirements into clear functional and technical specifications.
• Assist with the design, enhancement and implementation of business systems and solutions.
• Conduct data analysis and prepare reports to support management decision-making.
• Work with ERP and other business systems to identify system improvements and optimisation opportunities.
• Use SQL and database queries to extract, validate and analyse business data.
• Assist with system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT) and defect resolution.
• Coordinate with IT, business users, developers and external service providers where required.
• Support project planning, implementation and coordination of business and technology initiatives.
• Monitor implemented solutions to ensure they meet business requirements and deliver expected outcomes.
• Maintain accurate requirements, process, system and project documentation.
• Identify risks, dependencies and potential impacts associated with proposed changes.
• Provide ongoing support to users and stakeholders during system and process changes.
• Ensure solutions align with business objectives and standards.
