AES Global is recruiting an IT Applications Support Engineer to join a fast-moving, supportive team in a retail environment. You will provide hands-on applications support in a high-volume setting, working closely with IT and software development teams.

This role suits someone with solid experience in the support world, not a beginner. Working from an in-office base in Cape Town, you’ll travel to stores as needed, including openings, and contribute to resolving issues quickly while continually

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in an applications support role.
• Fluent in English; Afrikaans ability is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and own vehicle.
• Willingness to learn; on‑the‑job training provided.
• Ability to work in a high-volume, pressurised environment.

We’re working with an established retail business, and they’re looking for an IT Applications Support Engineer to join a supportive, fast-moving support team with plenty of room to grow.

You’ll provide hands‑on applications support in a high-volume, pressurised retail environment, working closely with the wider IT and software development teams. It’s a role for someone who already knows the support world well — not someone brand new to it.

What you’ll do

What you’ll bring

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in an applications support role
• Fluent English, spoken and written; the ability to understand and communicate in Afrikaans is a plus
• A valid driver’s licence and your own vehicle
• A great attitude and a willingness to learn — much of the training happens on the job
• The resilience to work in a high-volume, pressurised environment
