Job summary

The Key Recruitment Group represents our client in Cape Town seeking a Storeman to own the warehouse environment, optimize inventory levels, and manage purchasing workflows. You will focus on reducing dead stock, eliminating shortages, and streamlining material flow from procurement to production.

Requirements include 3–5 years in a manufacturing stores role, experience with ERP/inventory software, and a background in chemical/adhesive/paint industries.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years running a manufacturing stores/warehouse.
• Experience in chemical, adhesive, or paint industries.
• Hands-on with an integrated ERP or inventory ordering software.

Responsibilities

• Stock planning and re-ordering to prevent downtime.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and monthly stock takes.
• Own internal ordering and inventory tracking systems (Omni, Sage, QuickBooks).
• Inspect incoming chemicals for batches, packaging, shelf-life.
• Coordinate with suppliers on deliveries and documentation.
