Job summary

SET Recruitment Consultants is seeking a Warehouse Inventory Controller in Cape Town, South Africa. The role focuses on controlling inventory movement within the warehouse and ensuring accurate stock records.

You will plan daily space requirements, conduct wall-to-wall and cycle counts, investigate variances, and liaise with customer service and warehouse personnel. The ideal candidate will have Grade 12 and relevant tertiary qualifications, with a strong eye for detail and commitment to safety

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse inventory systems and processes.
• Ability to plan space and manage stock levels.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience with safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Account for and control movement of inventory within the warehouse.
• Plan daily space requirements.
• Carry out wall to wall stock counts.
• Carry out cycle stock counts.
• Investigate stock variance.
• Ensure all stock is properly labeled and in its designated location.
• Prepare inventory reports.
• Supervise inventory record accuracy.
• Manage inventory accuracy through monitoring and auditing.
• Liaise with customer service and warehouse personnel regarding inventory status.
• Accurately record stock figures daily with investigations.
• Carry out weekly rainbow reconciliation.
• Carry out bread and chill buffer reconciliation.
• Ensure safety clothing and equipment are available and maintained.
• Manage employee safety practices and discipline.
• Plan, schedule, organize, and direct work, train personnel.
• Define team goals and provide feedback.
• Reward and recognize performance.
• Manage returns and non-conforming products.
• Ensure equipment is operational and maintained.
• Manage inventory information and administration.
• Supply inventory information to customers.
• Generate final variances and communicate with management.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies.
