Job summary

Boardroom Appointments in Gauteng is seeking an experienced Inventory Controller/Supervisor to manage warehouse stock accuracy and inventory processes.

You will ensure SOPs are followed, use WMS, conduct cycle counts, investigate variances, and coordinate with customers to provide accurate information. A diploma/degree in logistics is preferred, with 5 years in logistics/warehouse and 2+ years in inventory roles.

Qualifications

• Logistics or warehouse management diploma/degree preferred.
• 5 years in logistics/warehouse with inventory roles, at least 2 of the 5 years.
• Supervisory experience.
• Ability to identify discrepancies.
• Ability to position stock and analyse data.

Responsibilities

• Ensure SOPs for inventory management are known, documented, implemented and enforced.
• Understand and use the various systems in the business.
• Carry out inventory investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Manage communication with customers to provide accurate information.
• Raise and complete NCRs/NCPs/IOs for inventory processes and investigations.
• Ensure stock is accounted for at all times and reduce losses.
• Position stock optimally and improve warehouse space utilisation (ABC).
• Consolidate pallets to improve space utilisation in replenishment areas.
• Conduct spot checks to ensure bin accuracy and product handling quality.
• Ensure master data and WMS configurations support inventory tasks.
• Book-to-book, cycle counts and stock takes; investigate variances promptly.
• Report on inventory KPI and assist in resolution actions.
• Plan and utilise staff for stock takes and training on inventory procedures.
