Job summary

Manpower Sa (Pty) Ltd is hiring an Internal Sales Person for the East Rand branch. The role supports customers through the sales cycle from product advice and quotations to orders and deliveries.

It requires technical sales experience, strong customer service, and the ability to work with SAP and ZOHO CRM, in a fast-paced environment. The candidate should be fluent in English and Afrikaans, possess Matric/Grade 12, and have at least 2 years in a technical sales setting.

Job description

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Internal Sales Person to join our East Rand branch. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting customers throughout the sales process, from providing product advice and preparing quotations through to processing orders and coordinating deliveries.
This role will suit an individual who enjoys working with customers, has a strong sales focus, and is comfortable operating in a technical sales environment. You will work closely with the Branch Manager, External Sales, Stores, Production and Technical teams to ensure an efficient and seamless customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Liaise with customers telephonically, via digital platforms and across the counter.
• Respond promptly and professionally to customer enquiries received through various e-platforms.
• Conduct daily cold calling and proactively identify new sales opportunities.
• Maintain and update the customer database and CRM records.
• Prepare and process accurate quotations, orders, pricing and customer information.
• Follow up on outstanding quotations and open orders to ensure successful closure.
• Identify opportunities to promote relevant products, solutions and services to customers.
• Capture and process customer orders accurately on SAP.
• Liaise with Stores to ensure orders are prepared and dispatched timeously.
• Provide sales support, product information and marketing material to customers and the External Sales team.
• Conduct product demonstrations for individual customers within the training/demo area.
• Provide basic technical product support and escalator more complex technical queries where necessary.
• Communicate with Production regarding special orders, product availability and estimated lead times.
• Encourage prospective customers to register on the company's systems and ensure all required documentation is submitted and captured.
• Maintain accurate customer information across SAP and ZOHO CRM.
• Prepare and maintain daily sales and operational reports.
• Assist the training team by ensuring manuals, training documentation and related materials are current and adequately stocked.
• Assist with occasional customer visits alongside the External Sales team.
• Support trade shows, exhibitions, product launches, open days, stock takes and customer functions when required.
• Ensure the demo and training areas remain neat, organised and presentable.
• Attend daily branch meetings and contribute to discussions around sales, operational and customer-related matters.
• Build and maintain strong, professional customer relationships while delivering excellent customer service.
• Ensure all customer queries and follow-ups are handled accurately, professionally and within appropriate timeframes.
• Assist with general/ad-hoc branch duties as required.
• Adhere to all company policies, processes and procedures.
• Matric / Grade 12.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a technical sales environment.
• Previous internal sales, counter sales or customer-facing sales experience will be advantageous.
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Afrikaans.
• Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
• Computer literate with good MS Office skills.
• Experience working on SAP is required.
• Experience with ZOHO CRM is required.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
