Job summary

Manpower Group South Africa is seeking a customer-focused sales professional with technical sales experience to support continued sales and customer service. You will handle product queries, quotations, orders and delivery, and work with SAP and ZOHO CRM to keep data accurate.

The role requires Matric, at least 2 years in technical sales, fluent English and Afrikaans, and the ability to work under pressure, prioritise tasks and build strong client relationships within a dynamic branch

Qualifications

• Matric / Grade 12 is required.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a technical sales environment.
• Experience with SAP and ZOHO CRM is required.
• Excellent English and Afrikaans verbal and written communication.
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Willingness to work overtime when required.
• Experience in internal/counter sales is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with customers telephonically, via digital platforms and across the counter.
• Respond promptly and professionally to customer enquiries from e-platforms.
• Conduct daily cold calling and identify new sales opportunities.
• Maintain and update the customer database and CRM records.
• Prepare and process quotations, orders, pricing and customer information.
• Follow up on outstanding quotations and open orders to close sales.
• Identify opportunities to promote products, solutions and services.
• Capture and process customer orders on SAP.
• Liaise with Stores to ensure orders are dispatched timeously.
• Provide sales support and marketing material to customers and the External Sales team.
• Conduct product demonstrations in the training/demo area.
• Provide basic technical product support and escalate complex queries.
• Communicate with Production regarding lead times.
• Encourage customers to register on company systems and submit required docs.
• Maintain accurate customer information across SAP and ZOHO.
• Prepare and maintain daily sales and operational reports.
• Assist training team with manuals and materials.
• Assist with customer visits alongside the External Sales team.
• Support trade shows, exhibitions, product launches, open days, stock takes and customer functions.
• Ensure demo/training areas remain neat and presentable.
• Attend daily branch meetings and discuss sales, operational and customer matters.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships and deliver excellent service.
• Handle queries and follow-ups within appropriate timeframes.
• Assist with general/ad-hoc branch duties and adhere to company policies.

• Assist with occasional customer visits alongside the External Sales team.

• Ensure the demo and training areas remain neat, organised and presentable.
• Attend daily branch meetings and contribute to discussions around sales, operational and customer-related matters.
• Build and maintain strong, professional customer relationships while delivering excellent customer service.
• Ensure all customer queries and follow-ups are handled accurately, professionally and within appropriate timeframes.
• Assist with general/ad-hoc branch duties as required.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric / Grade 12.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a technical sales environment.
• Previous internal sales, counter sales or customer-facing sales experience will be advantageous.
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Afrikaans.
• Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
• Computer literate with good MS Office skills.
• Experience working on SAP is required.
• Experience with ZOHO CRM is required.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Self-motivated, proactive and target-driven.
• Willingness to work overtime when required.
