Placements24 is seeking an Internal Auditor for their Richards Bay team in KwaZulu-Natal. The role focuses on financial, operational, and compliance audits to strengthen risk management, controls, and governance across the organization.

You will work across business units, produce concise reports, and support remediation of control weaknesses. This position requires integrity, thoroughness, and a proactive approach to risk mitigation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Accounting, Auditing or related field.
• Professional certifications (CIA, CA(SA), CISA) are highly desirable.
• Minimum 3 years auditing experience in internal or external audits.
• Strong knowledge of internal controls, auditing principles, and risk management.
• Proficient in data analysis tools and audit software; excellent report writing.

Responsabilités

• Plan and execute financial, operational, and compliance audits.
• Evaluate internal controls and identify weaknesses or non-compliance.
• Prepare clear audit reports with actionable recommendations.
• Follow up on implementation of audit recommendations.
• Conduct risk assessments and assist in risk-based planning.
• Liaise with management and external auditors; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Perform ad-hoc investigations and special projects as required.
