Placements24 seeks an Internal Auditor for our client, a prominent financial institution, to join the Bloemfontein team on-site. The role focuses on evaluating risk, controls, and governance, performing financial, operational, and compliance audits, and reporting findings to management and the audit committee.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, have 3+ years of audit experience, and possess strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, or related field.
• CIA/CA(SA) certification advantageous.
• Minimum 3 years in internal or external auditing.
• Familiar with COSO and risk assessment methodologies.
• Proficient in audit software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute internal audits across departments and units.
• Evaluate internal controls, policies and procedures.
• Identify risks and provide mitigation recommendations.
• Prepare and present audit reports to management and audit committee.
• Follow up on audit recommendations and monitor implementation.
