Placements24 seeks a seasoned Audit Manager to lead the internal audit function in Durban. You will plan, execute, and report on audits across departments to assess risk and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.

You will manage a team of auditors, guide them through complex assignments, and present findings to senior management, driving governance and operational efficiency in this strategic port city.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Auditing, or a related field is required.
• CIA, CA(SA), or equivalent certification is mandatory.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in internal or external auditing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• In-depth knowledge of auditing standards, risk management frameworks, and internal control principles.
• Experience with data analytics for audit purposes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the annual internal audit plan based on risk assessments.
• Lead audit engagements from planning through final reporting.
• Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance processes.
• Conduct investigations into suspected fraud or non-compliance.
• Prepare clear, concise audit reports detailing findings, risks, and recommendations.
• Manage and mentor the internal audit team, fostering their professional development.
