Placements24 is seeking an experienced Insurance Operations Manager to lead our Stellenbosch-based operations. You will oversee policy administration, claims processing, customer service, and regulatory compliance, driving efficiency and cost control in a dynamic market.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, operations, or related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in insurance operations management.
• Extensive knowledge of insurance products, processes (policy administration, claims handling), and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma) is a plus.
• Proficiency with insurance management software and ERP systems.

About the Role

Our client, a prominent insurance company, is seeking an experienced and strategic Insurance Operations Manager to lead their operations in Stellenbosch, Western Cape . This critical role oversees the efficiency and effectiveness of daily operational activities, including policy administration, claims processing, customer service, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership capabilities, a deep understanding of insurance processes, and a commitment to continuous improvement. You will be responsible for optimizing workflows, implementing new technologies, and managing a diverse team of operational staff. This position requires a hands-on approach and the ability to drive operational excellence within a demanding market. We are looking for a results-oriented individual who can enhance service delivery, control costs, and ensure the smooth functioning of the entire operational framework. The role is based in our modern Stellenbosch office, fostering a collaborative and dynamic work environment. Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all relevant insurance regulations and legal requirements in South Africa .
• Manage relationships with third-party service providers and vendors.
• Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for operational efficiency and effectiveness.
• Prepare regular operational reports for senior management, highlighting performance, challenges, and strategic recommendations.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as sales, underwriting, and finance, to ensure seamless business integration.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Operations, or a related field.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience in insurance operations management, with a proven track record of success.
• Extensive knowledge of insurance products, processes (policy administration, claims handling), and regulatory requirements.
• Strong leadership, team management, and motivational skills.
