Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Safety Officer to manage health and safety compliance for operations in Benoni. You will develop, implement, and monitor policies to ensure a safe working environment for all employees and contractors in a dynamic Gauteng setting.

Key responsibilities include leading safety management systems, conducting risk assessments and audits, investigating incidents, and delivering comprehensive safety training across all levels while ensuring adherence to SA OHS Act

Qualifications

• Bachelor level or higher in health and safety is required.
• Proven ability to develop and implement safety policies.
• Strong understanding of OHS Act and SA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement health and safety systems across sites.
• Perform site inspections, risk assessments, and audits.
• Investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions.
• Deliver health and safety training to staff at all levels.
• Ensure compliance with national OHS legislation and standards.
• Advise management on health and safety matters and promote safety culture.
