Placements24 is seeking an Industrial Engineer for a hybrid role based near Paarl, Western Cape. You will develop and improve quality systems, implement robust process controls, and analyze production data to identify root causes and drive corrective actions.

Responsibilities include deploying SPC, designing quality management systems, investigating deviations, and collaborating with production and engineering teams to enhance process capability and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial engineering focusing on quality systems and process control.
• Proven experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Quality Management Systems (QMS).
• Knowledge of quality tools such as FMEA, Pareto analysis, and root cause analysis techniques.
• Experience in data analysis and reporting using tools like Minitab or JMP is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing processes to identify quality risks and areas for improvement.
• Develop and implement statistical process control (SPC) methods to monitor process variability.
• Design and implement quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and ensure compliance.
• Investigate quality deviations, determine root causes, and implement CAPA actions.
• Develop and refine inspection and testing procedures to ensure product quality standards.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to establish process capabilities and targets.
• Use data analysis tools to track quality metrics and identify trends.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of manufacturing processes through quality tools.
• Prepare reports on quality performance, process capability, and improvement initiatives.
• Train production and quality personnel on quality standards and methodologies.
