Placements24 is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for an on-site role in Vereeniging, Gauteng. You will diagnose, repair and maintain a wide range of industrial equipment, applying mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and a strong safety mindset.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in industrial maintenance, can read schematics, work independently or with teams, and will contribute to continuous improvement while minimizing downtime and ensuring compliance

Qualifikationen

• Qualified Maintenance Technician with experience in both mechanical and electrical systems.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an industrial maintenance role.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair complex machinery.
• Strong understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical control systems.
• Experience with PLC systems is highly advantageous.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation.
• A strong commitment to health and safety in the workplace.
• Must be based in or willing to relocate to Vereeniging, Gauteng for on-site work.

Aufgaben

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on industrial machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in a timely manner.
• Install new equipment and ensure it is properly commissioned.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and parts used.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergency repair needs.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
• Calibrate and test equipment after repairs to ensure proper functioning.
• Collaborate with production teams to schedule maintenance activities and minimize disruption.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for maintenance processes.
