Placements24 is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our Rustenburg-based industrial operations team. The role focuses on maintaining electrical equipment, performing preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and timely repairs to maximize uptime and safety.

The successful candidate has a Trade Certificate in Electrical Engineering and at least 3 years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance, with strong schematic-reading skills and adherence to lockout/tagout safety

Qualifications

Trade Certificate in Electrical Engineering or equivalent required.
3+ years industrial electrical maintenance experience.
Ability to read electrical diagrams and schematics.
Strong safety mindset and lockout/tagout proficiency.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on electrical equipment including motors, generators, panels, and lighting.
Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults and perform timely repairs.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals to guide work.
Ensure all installations and repairs comply with safety regulations and standards.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts used, and time spent.
Respond to emergency electrical breakdowns to minimize downtime.
