Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for our Vereeniging, Gauteng facility. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose faults, and repair machinery to keep production running smoothly.

The role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to work with cross-functional teams on a shift basis. Based in Vereeniging, Gauteng, you will read blueprints, track maintenance records, and ensure safety and compliance while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within

Qualifications

Trade qualification or equivalent proven experience in maintenance.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing/industrial setting.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on all manufacturing equipment and machinery.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic faults in a timely manner.
Repair and maintain machinery to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
Install new equipment as required.
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and manuals.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts used, and time spent.
Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.
Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests.
Collaborate with production teams to understand equipment needs and issues.
Contribute to continuous improvement of maintenance procedures.
