Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Electrical Technician for our client in Randburg, Gauteng. The role focuses on maintaining and repairing industrial electrical systems to maximise uptime and productivity.

You will diagnose faults, read schematics, and work on motors, drives, PLCs, and control panels in a hands-on environment with a safety-first mindset. On-site shifts and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• National Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Light/Heavy Current) or Electrician trade qualification.
• 3–5 years of experience as Electrical Technician or Electrician in industrial/manufacturing environments.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical systems including motors, drives, panels, and PLCs.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on industrial electrical equipment and machinery.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults and malfunctions; implement repair solutions.
• Install and commission new electrical equipment and systems according to specifications.
