Placements24 in Pretoria is seeking a skilled Industrial Electrical Technician to maintain and repair electrical systems and machinery across manufacturing operations. You will diagnose faults, perform preventative maintenance, and support new installations to keep production running smoothly.

The role requires a qualified electrician, experience in industrial controls, PLCs, VSDs, and instrumentation, with the ability to work shifts.

Qualifications

• Trade-qualified Electrician with N3 or equivalent.
• Experience as Industrial Electrical Technician in manufacturing or heavy industry.
• Knowledge of industrial control systems, PLCs, variable speed drives, and instrumentation.
• Ability to work independently and in a team; strong diagnostic skills; willing to work shifts.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical equipment including motors, control panels, PLCs, and power distribution systems.
• Perform regular preventative maintenance inspections to minimize downtime and ensure reliability.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to diagnose faults.
• Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company policies.
• Assist in commissioning of new electrical installations and equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
