Job summary

Placements24 in Queenstown, South Africa, is seeking an Industrial Engineer to join our plant operations team on-site. You will analyze processes, drive efficiency, and help ensure quality and safety across the facility.

You will work with production, maintenance, and management to map data, identify bottlenecks, and implement Lean and Six Sigma improvements, with hands-on exposure to equipment and lines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 2–4 years in industrial engineering, preferably in manufacturing/plant environment.
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts and problem-solving tools.
• Proficiency in process mapping and data analysis.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork.
• Ability to work effectively on-site in a plant setting.

Responsibilities

• Analyze production processes, workflows, and layouts to identify efficiency gains and cost reductions.
• Develop and implement process improvements using Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma tools.
• Monitor production performance metrics, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with the production team to train staff on new processes and ensure effective implementation.
• Assist in the design and implementation of new equipment or production lines.
• Ensure compliance with all company safety and quality standards.
