Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Process Improvement Engineer for our Queenstown operation in South Africa. The role focuses on driving continuous improvement across chemical manufacturing processes to boost efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.

You will analyze current operations, identify bottlenecks, and implement data-driven solutions within a collaborative team. The ideal candidate brings a chemical engineering background, at least 3 years in process engineering or operations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in process engineering, quality improvement, or operations support.
• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience; certification is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing chemical production processes to identify opportunities for improvement using Lean and Six Sigma.
• Develop and implement process modifications to increase efficiency, reduce cycle times, and minimize waste.
• Collect and analyze operational data to monitor process performance and identify trends.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to implement improvement projects.
• Document proposed changes, project outcomes, and best practices.
• Assist in troubleshooting process issues and developing preventative measures.
